How and when GreenHand garden services are delivered.

1 What GreenHand delivers

GreenHand is an online marketplace that connects South African homeowners ("Clients") with independent, verified garden service professionals ("Gardeners"). What you pay for is a garden service — such as lawn mowing, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, irrigation, tree felling, pest control or general garden maintenance — performed at your property.

GreenHand delivers services, not physical products. Nothing is posted, couriered or shipped to you. There are no delivery/shipping fees and you do not provide a delivery address for goods — only the address at which the garden work is to be carried out.

2 How a service is delivered

  1. You post a job describing what you need, at no cost.
  2. Verified local Gardeners send you quotes. You compare and accept the one you prefer.
  3. You pay for the booking. Funds are held securely in escrow via our payment provider, Paystack — the Gardener is not paid until the work is done and you are satisfied.
  4. The assigned Gardener attends your property on the agreed date and time and performs the work. GPS check-in confirms their arrival.
  5. The Gardener marks the job complete and uploads photos. You confirm completion, and the funds are released from escrow.

3 Delivery timeframes

Each completed job is documented in the app with GPS check-in/check-out times and photos of the work. You confirm delivery by approving the completed job from your dashboard. This confirmation is what releases payment to the Gardener.

If you do not confirm or raise a dispute within 72 hours of the job being marked complete, it may be automatically confirmed as delivered.

5 Service area

GreenHand currently operates across Gauteng, South Africa — including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Sandton, Centurion, Midrand, Randburg, Roodepoort, Benoni, Boksburg and Germiston — and is expanding. Availability of Gardeners depends on your specific location.

6 If a service is not delivered

If a Gardener does not attend or the work is not carried out, you are protected: your money remains in escrow and has not been paid out. You may rebook with another Gardener or request a refund. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.
